The Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Dutse, Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad has warned students of the Institution to shun Examination misconduct, cultism, drug abuse, fighting, stealing, and other vices.

He gave the advice while addressing students at the 2021/2022 11th matriculation ceremony held at the University’s convocation square.

He said 2021/2022 combined admission is particularly challenging because of the large number of applications received by the University.

The VC said the Federal University, Dutse received a total of 23,951 applications for admission into various programs.

“Federal University Dutse FUD received a total of 23,951 applications for admissions into various programs with only allowable admission quota of 4493 (19%) of the total applicants”

“You must see your admission as a rare opportunity and a new chapter in your lives. You must adhere strictly to the matriculation oath you are about to take. You must restrain yourselves from such vices like examination misconduct/malpractice, cultism, drugs abuse, fighting, and stealing”, he said.

Congratulating students for being among the lucky applicants who gained admission into this University which is currently one of the most preferred in the region, he warned that those who breach the set rules and regulations would face appropriate disciplinary measures.
