Senior Principals Of Secondary Schools Accused Imo SEMB Executive Secretary, Augustina Azubuike Of Intimidation, High-handedness, Harassment …call on government for her immediate removal

Some cross section of Principals of Secondary School In Imo State especially within the Owerri Municipality have collectively accused the Executive Secretary, ES, Secondary Education Management Board, SEMB, Mrs.Augustina Azubuike, of allegedly misuse of their huge amount of money raised from internally generated revenue in various secondary schools in Owerri.

The Principals who gathered in their clusters as groups of Senior Principals operating in Owerri Municipal Areas of Imo State, in a swift media interaction with ThePressman crew in Owerri recently, expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction over what they described as intimidation, harassment and high-handedness against their offices by the Imo SEMB ES, Mrs.Tina Azubuike.

Two Senior Principals from Secondary Schools in Owerri who pleaded their names and that of their schools not to be mentioned or printed on this news platform, expressively worry concerning the obvious recklessness against them by the Executive Secretary of SEMB in Imo, Mrs.Tina, whom they accused of misappropriation and embezzlement of their funds.

They accused the ES of SEMB, Tina Azubuike of forcing them to retire whereas they have more than 7 & 10 months ahead for their due time of retirement.

According to them, ” We are very tried of the intimidation, harassment and high-handedness by the ES. Her removal and sack is over due. She is now a very wicked pest against our offices. Now, she goes around the Secondary Schools in Owerri Municipal forcing the Senior Principals to vacate their positions as principals;

“We were duly recruited and engaged by the government to serve as teachers for the period of 35 years as civil servants. Since, the elevation and appointment of Mrs.Tina as our Executive Secretary,ES, she has endlessly continued to cause more harm than good;

“The Secondary School Principals teaching in Owerri Municipal are facing a whole lots of challenges and difficult time discourtesy of our ES,Mrs.Azubike.

“Enough is enough!!! Enough of all her harassments and intimidations. We are going not going to take it lightly from her anymore. We were all formally engaged to serve as teachers. We worked harder and got our respective promotions as Principals of Secondary Schools”, the duo Sch.Principals submitted.

Continuing, according to them, “We are very much aware that Mrs.Tina, until her promotion as the ES served as the Principal at Obollo Technical College in Orlu zone extraction of Imo State. Now, she has solely recruited a retired teacher as the Principal of Obollo Tech. She is very busy sharing the salaries of that Principal in every month;

“The Shared Prosperity Government of Sen.Hope Uzodimma may have not being aware of these ongoing academic and educational fraud by Mrs.Azubuike. We are using this medium to inform the State Government concerning the atrocious nature of our Executive Secretary;

“We have seen previous Executive Secretaries come and go, we can testify with keen interests on how they worked and served meritoriously but the case of Mrs.Tina is a different ball game altogether. We are no more comfortable with her militia and brigadal approach to Secondary School Principals in Owerri.

“We have since officially reported to the Commissioner for Education, Hon.Johncliff Nwadike, who is very much all aware of our ES’s excesses but he has continued in keeping deaf ears to our petitions and complaints”, the Principals hinted.

Meanwhile, ThePressman crew via their investigative journalism in the recent time on the issue, have confirmed all the accusations level against Imo SEMB ES, Mrs.Tina Azubuike.

Our media findings from few Secondary Schools visited in Owerri Municipal had it in strong terms that the Executive Secretary of SEMB, Mrs.Tina Azubuike is a real bully and a gigantic carnivore always ready to devour.

It is on record that the same ES who
never want the progress of any teacher in Imo has vowed to make some offices of selected Secondary School Principals her war zone.

Therefore, the government of Imo State under Governor Hope Uzodimma should act fast to remedy such ugly situation especially now that millions of Imo people are yarning positively to re-elect Governor Uzodimma for his second tenure bid.

In the same development,the embattled Imo SEMB ES, Mrs.Augustina Azubuike, when contacted on her telephone number to get her own chronicles as an accused person to give her own account, declined to have any conversation with the press.

Even, when she was seen at Ikenegbu Girls Secondary School Owerri, and was stormed by some journalists to get her view of the whole matter, she took to quarrelling with one of the journalists whom she later gave a dirty slap at the scene of trying to assertion her own version of the storyline.
