The deputy governor who spoke when members of the National Association of Delta State Students Union (NADESSTU), led by their President, Monday Whiska, paid him a congratulatory visit in his office, emphasised on hardwork and the need for them to be focused and serious with their studies.
While learning and academic excellence may not be easy, Onyeme noted that in the long run, it prepares the individual for a better future. Onyeme assured the students that the state government would always give priority to education in the state.
He said: “We will do everything to encourage students in institutions of higher learning to succeed; I want you to know that going to school is the only way forward for our future.
“Things may be difficult today, but I can assure you that an educated person would always find a way out.” Earlier in his remarks, Whiska commended the deputy governor for his philanthropic disposition, especially his education fund, which has helped many through school.
