The management of Fountain University, Osogbo has addressed concerns following the recent decision by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to suspend admission into the university’s Law programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In an official statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Taoheed Alimi, on Friday, the university reassured students, parents, and stakeholders that its Law programme remains fully accredited by both the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Council of Legal Education.

The university clarified that the suspension applies only to new admissions for the upcoming academic session and does not affect students currently enrolled in the Law programme.

Alimi stated that “the management team understands that this news may have caused concern among our students, parents, and stakeholders. However, we would like to reassure everyone that the Law programme at Fountain University currently enjoys the full accreditation of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Council of Legal Education.”

Fountain University also announced that its first set of Law graduates will proceed to the Nigerian Law School later this year, emphasizing that the programme continues to operate at full capacity.
