To celebrate excellence and encourage hard work, Fountain of Wisdom Group of Schools, Agege, Lagos, has awarded outstanding students of the school with different prizes and gifts.

Speaking at the school’s end of session party and prize-giving day, the Director, Akinde Bowale John, said his students have posted great performances and broken records set over the years.

John, who identified God as his inspiration, said his vision was to educate young people and groom members of the society.

He said the school would not relent in appreciating outstanding students for setting good records that they can be proud of.

He noted that this is just the starting point of their career, and enjoined them not to relent in their quest to excel.

The director said the school would leverage its success by allowing more students to tap from its high quality education.

John, however, lamented that given the prevailing economic downturn, parents are finding it difficult to pay school fees and buy textbooks.

He urged the Federal Government to prioritise education and provide adequate funding for the sector to thrive.

He also stressed the need for the government to introduce reforms that would drastically reduce the number of out-of-school children in the country.

The male prefect, Oluwasemilore Oreofeoluwa, described his time at the school as exciting, and gave kudos to the teachers for their hard work.

He said the school has distinguished itself in its approach to teaching, as it has helped him to build leadership skills.

On her part, the female prefect, Ayomide Apata, said the school has brought out the best in her and encouraged her to aim high.
