
The Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, has been appointed as the Sub-Dean of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) North Central.
The announcement was made during the ongoing UBEC-SUBEB Management Meeting in Abuja.
As her first official task in this new capacity, Dr. Adagba presented the North Central progress report, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and ongoing initiatives in the North Central Region.
Her presentation covered UBEC interventions, state-led projects, donor agency collaborations, and recommendations for improving basic education.
Dr. Adagba, in a press statement signed by the press officer of the Board, Emmanuella Akese, emphasised the commitment of the Benue State Government, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, to advancing basic education.
She noted that the state had successfully accessed three years’ worth of matching grants, leading to the construction of Storey building classrooms, Digital and non-digital Libraries, Classroom renovations, drilling of boreholes for water and sanitation, as well as Continuous Quality Assurance activities such as school resumption and Early Childhood Care Development and Education (ECCDE) monitoring exercises.
